New Student Registration

We welcome you and your child to the Carmel Central School District! Students must live within the boundaries of the Carmel Central School District and meet state age and health requirements. We have one high school, one middle school and three elementary schools. Students are assigned to an elementary school based on their address of residence. Please see ourto determine which elementary school your child will attend.

You will need a ParentVUE account to access our online registration portal to register for Kindergarten through Grade 12.

  • New Families: If you have never had a student enrolled in CCSD schools or UPK, please follow these instructions to . Note: use a computer browser to register, using a mobile phone may result in errors.
  • Existing Families: If you have a child(ren) that are currently attending or have attended Carmel schools or UPK in the past, DO NOT create a new ParentVue account - you must use your existing account or contact the school registrar to request your ParentVUE account activation code.

Proof of Residency

Parents/guardians wishing to enroll their child(ren) in Carmel Central School District must provide two (2) valid documents that establish residency in the district. Post Office boxes do not provide a physical address within the district and cannot be accepted. Overdue bills will not be accepted. All documents accepted must include the student's physical address.

Two forms of proof of residence in the Carmel Central School District, such as the following, are required (paid within the last 60 days):

  • Mortgage statement with full name and address (paid within the last 60 days)
  • Deed
  • Original property tax bill (paid within the last 60 days)
  • Original school tax bill (paid within the last 60 days)
Category A1 (choose one)
  • Utility bill (paid within the last 60 days)
  • State or other U.S. Government-issued ID
  • Homeowner's insurance policy
  • Evidence of custody of the child with address on documents from Category A
  • Pay stub (not older than 60 days)
  • Income tax forms
  • Membership documents based upon residency
  • Voter registration documents
  • Official driver's license, learner's permit or non-driver's ID with address on documents from Category A

Tenant/Third-Party Tenant

  • Lease
  • No lease: Notarized Tenant Affidavit 
  • Living with Family or Friends: Third-Party Residency Statement (Two (2) additional proofs required)
Category B1 (choose one)
  • Electric bill that reads "for service at" the address on the lease in either the owner or renter's name (paid within the 60 days)
  • Utility bill (paid within the last 60 days)
  • State or U.S. Government-issued ID
  • Homeowner's insurance policy
  • Evidence of custody of the child with address on documents from Category A
  • Pay stub (not older than 60 days)
  • Income tax forms
  • Membership documents based upon residency
  • Voter registration documents
  • Official driver's license, learner's permit or non-driver's ID with address on documents from Category B
Two additional residency proofs must be submitted in addition to a Third Party Statement.
